Home School International was founded in 2017 by Marisa Benlloch Merchán, who holds degrees in Teaching and Fine Arts, and Alberto Ochando Perales, who has a background in Teaching, English, Anthropology, and Sociology. The school was established in response to the growth of their early childhood education centers, Parque Tecnológico and Parque Terramelar (in Paterna), as well as the Cube Language Center (in Godella).
In 2020, HSI inaugurated a new and innovative facility in San Antonio de Benagéber, a space designed to foster creativity and multidisciplinary learning. In 2023, the London-based group Affinitas Education, which manages schools in Spain, Italy, Mexico, and the United States, joined HSI’s shareholder structure, further expanding its international reach and strengthening its educational mission.
