Our Project

Our Project

Educational Community

We create a warm and supportive environment where families, teachers, and students share values and goals, growing together as a community.

Roots and Wings

We instill strong values and foster critical thinking so that our students grow with both confidence and freedom, ready to choose their own path.

Languages and Global Vision

We educate in a trilingual environment—Spanish, English, and Valencian—broadening horizons and providing the tools needed to thrive in a global world.

Active Learners

Our students are at the heart of the entire educational process. We listen to them, support their interests, and guide them to discover their full potential.

Languages

At Home School Internacional, we believe that mastering multiple languages is key to the personal and academic development of our students. We apply an approach based on neuroeducation, ensuring that the learning of new languages happens progressively and naturally, respecting the cognitive processes of each developmental stage.

A Bilingual Environment: English and Spanish as the Foundation of Learning

English and Spanish are the working languages at Home School Internacional. Our model ensures that students not only learn English but also think in English, integrating it naturally into their daily lives.

🟡 Co-teaching in Early Years and Primary: From the earliest stages, pupils are in constant contact with both languages thanks to the presence of two teachers in the classroom, one of whom is a native English speaker. This provides an authentic immersion where English is used functionally and meaningfully.

🟡 Most subjects taught in English in Secondary: As students progress, English plays an even greater role, with most subjects delivered in English, facilitating a natural and contextualised learning experience.

🟡 Preparation for official certifications: Beyond the everyday use of English, all pupils are prepared to obtain Cambridge certifications, ensuring internationally recognised proof of their language level.

Beyond Bilingualism: Valencian, French and German

We understand that learning more than one language is a cognitive and cultural advantage. That’s why, in addition to English and Spanish, we introduce other languages progressively, following the principles of neuroeducation to identify the most appropriate stages for introducing new languages into the learning journey.

🟢 Valencian: Included in the curriculum from Early Years, ensuring that students acquire skills in the co-official language through a natural and progressive approach.

🔵 French from Year 3 of Primary: We introduce a third curricular language at a key stage in cognitive development, when students have already established a solid foundation in English and Spanish.

🔴 German as an extracurricular option from Year 6 of Primary: We offer the opportunity to broaden language learning through German, encouraging acquisition at an age optimal for language development.

Benefits of Language Learning Through Neuroeducation

✔️ Greater brain plasticity: Learning multiple languages enhances the brain’s ability to adapt, encouraging flexible thinking and problem-solving skills.

✔️ Development of executive functions: Exposure to more than one language strengthens attention, working memory and inhibitory control—essential skills for learning across all subjects.

✔️ Ease of communication and intercultural understanding: Our students do not simply learn languages; they gain tools to navigate international and culturally diverse contexts.

✔️ Academic and professional advantage: Proficiency in multiple languages opens up opportunities in higher education and within the global job market.

Meaningful Language Learning with a Global Outlook

At Home School Internacional, languages are an essential part of everyday life at school. Thanks to co-teaching in Early Years and Primary, the predominance of English in Secondary, and a progressive plan for introducing new languages, we ensure that our students acquire linguistic competence naturally and effectively.

Learning languages is not just an academic tool—it’s a gateway to the world.

Neuroeducation

Learning Based on Brain Science

At Home School Internacional, we understand that a quality education cannot rely solely on tradition—it must also be grounded in the most advanced knowledge about how the brain learns. That’s why we work from a foundation of applied neuroscience in education, ensuring that every teaching strategy aligns with the cognitive, emotional and social development of our students.

Why Neuroscience in Education?

Advances in neuroscience have enabled us to better understand how learning works and which factors influence knowledge consolidation. At Home School Internacional, we apply these principles to design a learning environment that:

✔️ Respects developmental rhythms: We know that each student’s brain matures at its own pace, so we adapt our methodologies to allow every learner to progress naturally and effectively.

✔️ Boosts motivation and interest: Learning becomes more meaningful when it evokes emotion. We use active methodologies that stimulate curiosity and encourage participation.

✔️ Strengthens memory and knowledge retention: We apply strategies such as spaced repetition, multisensory learning and connection to prior experiences to enhance long-term retention.

✔️ Promotes autonomy and decision-making: Education is a process of personal growth. We foster the development of executive functions (planning, inhibitory control, working memory) so that students learn to manage their learning and make thoughtful decisions.

✔️ Addresses diverse talents and learning styles: Not everyone learns in the same way. That’s why we use a personalised and flexible approach, integrating multiple strategies to ensure every student’s success.

Neuroscience Across All Educational Stages

In our educational model, neuroscience is present from Early Years through to Sixth Form, ensuring that each stage lays a strong foundation for the next:

🧩 In Early Years: We focus on sensory stimulation and neuromotor development, respecting natural learning processes through play and exploration.

📚 In Primary: We strengthen reading comprehension, academic autonomy and emotional regulation, applying strategies grounded in memory and meaningful learning.

💡 In Secondary: We reinforce critical thinking, metacognition and time management, preparing students to face challenges with confidence and resilience.

🎯 In Sixth Form: The focus shifts to cognitive flexibility and informed decision-making, equipping students to thoughtfully choose their academic and professional futures.

Neuroscience for Meaningful Learning

At Home School Internacional, we don’t leave learning to chance. We apply the latest scientific understanding of the brain to ensure that each student learns effectively, with motivation, and in alignment with their personal development. Our commitment is to provide an education rooted in science, ensuring every learner has the tools to go as far as possible toward their goals and interests—and become the best version of themselves.

Socio-emotional Education

At Home School Internacional, Academic Growth Goes Hand in Hand with Emotional Wellbeing. We apply a socio-emotional learning (SEL) approach grounded in neuroeducation and Positive Discipline, nurturing students who are capable of managing their emotions, building healthy relationships and making responsible decisions.

We are proud to be a member school of the Positive Discipline Association, reinforcing our commitment to an education based on connection, mutual respect and student autonomy.

Why is Socio-Emotional Education Essential?

✔️ Supports wellbeing and self-esteem: Helping students to understand themselves and trust in their abilities.

✔️ Improves relationships and coexistence: Promoting empathy, effective communication and cooperation.

✔️ Strengthens resilience: Teaching students to face challenges and learn from their mistakes.

✔️ Encourages responsible decision-making: Fostering autonomy and positive leadership.

How Do We Approach Socio-Emotional Education?

🟡 Primary: Stress management, conflict resolution and cooperative skills using Positive Discipline.

🟡 Secondary: Building resilience, critical thinking and leadership based on respect and responsibility.

🟡 Sixth Form: Decision-making strategies, stress management and emotional preparation for the future.

Art Home Project: Where education and creativity go hand in hand.

At Home School Internacional, We Believe Art Is Essential for Holistic Development. That’s why we created Art Home Project (AHP)—an interdisciplinary programme that places the arts at the heart of learning, giving students the opportunity to explore, express themselves and develop their creativity through different artistic disciplines.

The project is led by Alejandro Galarza, orchestra conductor and director of various musical institutions and conservatories; Sergio Alcover, a renowned choreographer; and Andrew Ellingworth, Home School Internacional teacher and expert in visual arts and creativity. Together, they form a team of professionals committed to making art a transformative educational experience.

An Interdisciplinary Approach

Art Home Project is an interdisciplinary initiative developed across all educational stages. It is a way of learning through the arts, integrating different areas of knowledge and nurturing each student’s individual talent. Our programme is structured around three main disciplines:
